Review: Aukey KM-B9 portable Bluetooth keyboard

by topic_admin

I happen to be impressed with Aukey‘s powerbanks and chargers prior to, so when the firm offered their newest portable KM-B9 Bluetooth keyboard to review I had high hopes.

Look & texture

As with Aukey goods, the keyboard arrived in a slime-line, minimal cardboard box and also I was immediately impressed by the sterile, aluminium looks of the KM-B9. The keyboard is roughly the same size you’d find on a 13″ notebook, with good spacing between the black-coloured keys, also the entire device is built from a good-looking and nearly flex-free aluminium metal – available in silver or dim (distance ) gray.

  • 81 keys (US QWERTY keyboard design )
  • Compatible with iOS, Android, Windows, and the majority of other platforms which encourage Bluetooth keyboards
  • 160-hour battery life from the internal 140mAh Li-polymer battery (chargeable by 5V/30mA MicroUSB)
  • Operating Range: Up into 10m
  • Dimensions: 290 × 138 × 5mm
  • Weight: 346gram
  • 24-month guarantee

There’s a hardware On/Off slider the top right corner of the KM-B9, which is all you want to switch to utilize keyboard as soon as you’ve got first paired it with your smartphone, tabletcomputer, notebook, or other device.

Pairing the keyboard is fairly straightforward and includes only four measures:

  1. Switch on the keyboard
  2. Press the “Fn” (Function) button and “C” (keyboard correspondence ) to enter pairing mode
  3. Switch on Bluetooth in your device
  4. Select “AUKEY KM-B9”

In usage

Coincidentally, I finally updated my ancient HP Touchpad into a brand new Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus tablet over the holidays, so the combination of this 10″ Android tablet and this keyboard designed for an extremely compact pseudo-laptop combination.

Setup and pairing the keyboard with almost any smartphone or pill was quick and simple, and typing on it was fairly great. The keyboard has very little flex for such a thin design, also the keys give a fair quantity of travel. The design and size supposed I can get around my ordinary words-per-minute typing rate, and I would compare its usage to a budget notebook – absolutely fine and much better than many portable keyboards I’t tried, but maybe not as great as something like a Thinkpad or MacBook Pro.

My sole gripe was that the KM-B9 includes a sleek aluminium alloy base without a rubber feet, so it could slip around a little. Some #0. 99 rubber feet stickers could fix the issue, however I could have liked Aukey to possess them attached.

The KM-B9 is a superb little portable keyboard which will help you turn any pill into a productive device, also I have begun to carry it with me I carry my pill the train or airplane so I can get work done if I have to.
