Jennifer Lawrence is a middle college dropout and she doesn’t regret it. She said had left college at the age of two to pursue acting profession.
Talking into 60 Minutes the 27-year old celebrity inserted, “I dropped out of middle school. I don’t technically have a GED or a diploma. I am self-educated.”
Bill Whitaker asked whether she regretted her decision of quitting college and paving approach to acting. The celebrity responded saying she wished to forge her own path so there was no regret.
The Red Sparrow celebrity said college wasn’t easy for her while acting was her true calling. She didn’t desire anything come between her and acting profession, not friends and for many years they were not so important when compared with her livelihood.
Lawrence continued further saying she fought through college and admitted her parents were not thrilled with her middle college dropout decision. Her determination paid off and this is the motive she starred in many popular films including Hunger Games and X-Men. In her career she has received Oscars because of her performance in Silver Linings Playbook.
However, the route wasn’t rosy for her because it sounds today. The celebrity experienced risks of fame also. Her privacy was violated to good extent. About four years ago her naked photographs were published online by a hacker. Following the experience she became reluctant to shoot onscreen nudity. She signed for the lead character in Red Sparrow, the film which required nudity.
Lawrence said there’s difference between approval and not. She showed up and felt empowered. She is using it in her art. She has back what has been taken away from her.
